The Board of Commissioners Implements Hiring Freeze
Effective Date: July 1, 2010

During these challenging economic times, the Clayton County Board of Commissioners, just as many other local governments, had to make some very difficult decisions in order to balance the County’s FY11 Budget. As a result, one of those decisions included the implementation of a three (3) month long hiring freeze.

Please Note: Positions previously posted to the County’s Web site have been removed and applications are no longer being accepted. However, periodically it will become necessary to fill “critical need” positions. Under those special circumstances positions will be posted and filled with the approval of the Board of Commissioners.

We encourage you to continue to check our Web site for future job posting.

Kinship Care 2010 High School Graduates Recognized by County

Clayton County's Senior Services Kinship Care Program recognized its 2010 High School Graduates with a graduation ceremony that was recently hosted at the Kinship Care Resource Center located in Jonesboro. The event was attended by community leaders, Clayton County Government staff members, family members, and friends. The students honored are participants of the Center's the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Program. The Frank Bailey Senior Center Advisory Board also surprised the graduates with individual financial gifts.

At the time the ceremony was held some of the graduates had already departed the area to begin the next exciting chapter in their life, however, they were proudly represented by a family member.
