CommunicationsThanks to the citizens of Clayton County and their support of various SPLOST programs, the Department of Information Technology has implemented a State of the Art, Public Safety 700Mhz Trunked Radio System in 2014. This system allows for mobile Voice and Data in mission critical applications required by our Public Safety responders. It allows for encrypted radio communications and interoperability with surrounding Metro Atlanta Public Safety agencies as well as State and Federal resources.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Communications Division of the Department of Information Technology is to provide Public Safety Communications solutions for the various departments and Cities in Clayton County. We do this by maintaining a state of the Art, 700Mhz Public Safety Digital Network (PSDN) Radio system as well as providing drive up or walk in support of End User County issued equipment.
