The Probate Court of Clayton County does NOT accept pleadings transmitted electronically or by FAX, Probate Court standard forms for estate matters may be downloaded from http://www.gaprobate.org/. The site also includes information regarding the duties of Personal Representatives, the Handbook for Guardians, and Proceeding Pro Se."

Effective November 15, 2006, estate index researches will no longer be conducted via the telephone due to the increase volume of phone call requests. Should you wish to know if there has been an estate filed in this office you may obtain that information in either of two ways: (1) In person - you may check the public index in our office for free or (2) By mail - For a $10.00 fee per each estate name, you may request a search of the estate indexes. Mail your request to Clayton County Probate Court, 121 South McDonough Street, Annex Bldg 3, Jonesboro GA 30236 and include a stamped, self-addressed envelope for an answer.
