Member Appointed Boards

ADVISORY GROUP, NEIGHBORHOOD - Created by Resolution 94-115 which was adopted on November 18, 1994. Said Group was created for the purpose of making recommendations to the Board relating to the development and use of recreational property on Walt Stephens Road. The Group consists of seven (7) members. Posts 1 through 5 are appointed by the Board of Commissioners as names are certified by the participating neighborhoods following their duly conducted elections. Posts 6 and 7 are appointed by the Board of Commissioners by its majority vote. Initial terms are for one year, commencing on January 1, 1995 and ending on December 31, 1995.

Members: Tony Antoine, Chair, Janie Griffin, Vice Chair, Jim Buckman, Michael Cooper, Barbara Cutts-Griffin, Jarvis Jackson and Russell Tod Nichols, II.

AIRPORT AUTHORITY - PURSUANT TO S.B. 616, Act 935, the Clayton County Airport Authority shall be composed of seven members to be appointed by the governing authority of the County. Initial terms shall be as per Resolution 94-39.

Members: Bobby Cartwright, Larry O'Keeffe, Rev. Arthur Goodman, Harry Joy and Cheryl "Synamon" Baldwin

ANIMAL CONTROL BOARD - Created as fourteen member board. Membership set at ten on April 20, 1993 with three year terms after initial term.

Members: Dr. Tim Koby, Dr. Don McMillian, Roy C. Martin, Walter Howard, Interim Chief Timothy R. Robinson, Robin Rawls, Dr. Bobbie Irvins, Kim Siebert and Brenda Stiggers.

BOARD OF APPEALS - Five member board with three year terms

Members: Whayne Clarke, DeMont Davis, Rodney Standifer, Toney W. Griffin, Dr. Don McMillian, Jr., and two alternates: Edward Clemons and Joe B. Hamilton

BUILDING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS AND APPEALS - Created June 19, 1990 - Ordinance 90-59 - Five member board

Members: Jim Oliver, Sr., Tim Jones, Arthur L. Jenkins, Lee M. Mayweather and Ray Rogerson

CIVIL SERVICE BOARD - Pursuant to H.B. 2003, Act 945, the Clayton County Civil Service Board will consist of five (5) members.

Members: Larry A. Bartlett, J. Mark Trimble, Gbenga Osagie, Lori Favre and Troyce B. Lancaster

CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD - Created on April 2, 2002 - Ordinance #2002-32 - Three members with up to two alternates. Initial appointments to the three-member Code Enforcement Board: One member appointed for a term of two years; and two members appointed for a term of four years each. Upon expiration of the initial terms specified, all terms shall be for three years.

ETHICS ADVISORY COMMITTEE - Pursuant to Resolution 2007-09, the Clayton County Ethics Advisory Committee shall be composed of fifteen members to be selected from the following county entities: Clayton County Bar Association; Clayton County Chamber of Commerce; Clayton County CountyWide Homeowner's Association; Clayton County Civil Service Board; Clayton County Board of Commissioners (a member selected from each commission district); Clayton County NAACP; Lake Spivey Community, Inc.; Clayton County Legislative Delegation; Panhandle Preservation Association; Tri-County Community Association; and Association of Ministers of Clayton County.
